Wee M has been changing quite a bit over the last month. Her hair still sticks up on end and she still has only 6 teeth, but most everything else has changed. Wee M loves to crawl around and stand up holding on to something. She is very careful when she is moving around. With Chippy, we had to be hovering over him all the time when he was standing and walking back and forth on the coffee table. With Wee M, she doesn't move her feet unless she's sure of where she's going and that she can get there without falling. If she's not sure, she slowly lowers herself onto her bum and will crawl to where she's going.
Her sleeping has been hit and miss - but that's mostly our fault for travelling so much with her recently. I think she's just about back into a pattern of getting up only 2-3 times a night and having a good long sleep from 8 - 2ish. When we put her down, she generally doesn't cry that much.
Wee M's just getting over her first big sickness - the flu!! Poor little lady picked it up at daycare and was sick for most of our weekend in Toronto.
Wee M is really playing well by herself - she can amuse herself for quite a long time - either watching Chippy or Dunning, or by rummaging around in the toys downstairs. Her favourite toys right now are her shoes and diapers. If either of those are in the area, she'll grab them and won't let go - even when she's crawling or pulling up! We got out the Newbury bus with shapes that fit into holes on top and she seems to like that. Problem now is that Chippy thinks its a new toy and want to play with it too! She's starting to come around to books. Rather than closing them all the time, she has started to help turn the pages. We'll keep working on that one!
she's really starting to show her own personality now..... her likes and dislikes.... so much fun to watch the real Miss M blossoming forth!!
